Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
This policy explains what information Vive Velo collects across vivevelo.com and the Vive Velo application (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. The Service is operated by Speelman Consulting LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company ("Vive Velo," "we," "us").
1. What We Collect
- Account: your email address and password (stored only as a hash).
- Rider profile: metrics you choose to provide, such as height and weight.
- Ride data: power, heart rate, cadence, speed, position on virtual routes, and completed workouts.
- Billing: payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep your subscription status.
- Strava: if you connect Strava, we store the access tokens needed to upload activities at your direction.
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies and usage events (pages visited, feature usage).
- Logs: IP address, browser type, and timestamps in server logs.
2. How We Use It
- To provide and operate the Service.
- To process subscription payments.
- To sync activities to Strava when you ask us to.
- To send transactional email, such as password resets and account notices.
- To understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
- To keep the Service secure and to debug problems.
3. How We Share It
We share personal data only with the service providers we use to run Vive Velo: Stripe (payments), Google (analytics), Amazon Web Services (hosting and email delivery), and Strava (when you connect your account). We may disclose information if required by law. We never sell your personal data.
4. Cookies & Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) cookies to understand how riders use the Service. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and its data at any time from the Profile page, or by emailing hello@vivevelo.com. Some records (for example, billing records) may be retained where the law requires it.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS, passwords are stored only as hashes, and access to production systems is limited. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data with industry-standard safeguards.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal data, contact hello@vivevelo.com and we will delete it.
8. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@vivevelo.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page, and for material changes we will notify you by email.
